Winter Update – New Menu

By December 5, 2019 No Comments

Hi everyone!  Many of you have been following our progress at our new shop of 1004 N 3rd St.  Well, I’m writing today to release a new menu and a winter update for everyone.

As you know, ice cream isn’t the most popular item during winter.  Thus our sales have naturally decreased.  I knew it would be a challenge, but we will push on.   This is our first winter season open at our new shop so adjustments have to be made.  Urban Churn has been and always will churn and sell crazy ice cream flavours.  However, we realized we need to add more to the menu and find what sticks.  Our hours will change as well.  These hours will accommodate our schedule between our stand in the Broad Street Market and our Shop.  The hours will also allow us to receive our dairy, churn and fulfil wholesale orders.

Our new hours for the Shop are:

  • Monday & Tuesday: CLOSED
    Weds & Thursday: 5:00pm – 8:00pm
    Friday & Saturday: 12:00pm – 8:30pm
    Sunday: 12:00pm – 7:00pm

Our hours starting January 1st for our stand in the Broad Street Market:

  • Monday – Weds: Closed
  • Thursday: 8:15 am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:15 am – 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:15 am – 4:00pm

Many have asked; “who buys ice cream in the Market at 8:30 am??”.  That’s a good question.  Answer:  Not many folks.  That’s why we will be offering Breakfast Marquesitas with bacon, eggs, maple syrup and Hot Chocolate! For those who are on the move in the mornings and on budget, these little breakfast snacks are great for on the go and they start at $3.00

Now, what about the Menu for the shop?  Well, here it is!

The future.

Since this is the first year of being open, I’ve learned a lot.  It’s been tough, a lot of work, but so rewarding.  You all keep me motivated.  Part of what we learned this summer, I will make adjustments for this upcoming season.   As well, through this winter I’m sure I’ll learn what needs to be adjusted for next season.

This shop will have a seasonal menu.  Our menu will adjust and change based on Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.  This way we keep it interesting for folks and accommodate to the temperature and seasonal desires of the taste buds.

This shop exists because of the community, and I’d like your input.  Send us a message on what type of warm dessert/beverage you would like to see!

Thanks, everyone for your support,

Adam Brackbill
